Good Luck, Stoke

Apparently Brandon Stokley is doing well in his recovery. I think that pleases all of us. I hope he does well with the Broncos. This is from an insider article on ESPN.com. Sorry if you can't access it. It basically just says that Stokley is ahead of schedule.

I think everyone was sorry to see him go, but understands that the Colts just couldn't keep him around with his injury history being what it is. I'll still never forget #18 hitting him on a wide open post route against San Diego for TD #49. It was a thing of beauty. All the best man.

TD pass #49 will forever be one of my favorite football memories. It was made in a significant game context, on a remarkable drive, against a defense that had been giving us fits. Vintage Manning, quieting the celebration on his behalf to focus on the crucial two point conversion.

That look on Stoke's face after the catch was priceless. The play change at the line, the earlier fourth down conversion, the win...

I know it will be hard to compare to the AFC Championship game, because it was not a playoff game (though it was important at that time for playoff seeding), but that game is, in my humble opinion, one of the greatest Colts games ever.
