It's Del Rio Week!
Why would a reviewer make the point of saying someone's not a genius? Do you especially think I'm not a genius? . . . You didn't even have to think about it, did you?

I love Del Rio week! Twice a season we get to we get to hear for seven straight days about how the Jags are finally going to make a run at the AFC South Championship followed by a hilarious meltdown by the coaches, fans, players, and website editors of Jacksonville.
Was listening to the Broncos broadcast of their game yesterday on Sirius, and their play guy called Jacksonville "the best team in the AFC after the Patriots." Had to rewind to make sure we heard right.
It's been the en vogue thing for the last couple of weeks. Talking heads like 'hot stories'. The 'hot story' was whether or not the Jags have passed the Colts. I'm guessing these people didn't watch the game a month ago.
Is there a betting pool on the meltdown that will undermine Jax?
I say they play well for 20 minutes, call it a 7-7 game at that point. Colts have the ball 4th and 1 on Jags' 35--too far for a FG, too close to punt, so they line up for it. But a Colt OL twitches--5 yard penalty! But wait, a Jax DL charges across the Line of scrimmage and hits him, which happens all the time. Then he hits him again, and starts celebrating, pointing to himself, whooping and stuff. Jumpting and dancing and trying to whip the tiny Jax crowd to a frenzy. The only frenzy is a hail of yellow flags. 15 yard unsportsmanlike penalty, 1st down. Del Rio wastes a TO to chew the refs a new one. A deep strike to Gonzo follows and the rout is on.
Knock wood.
