Congrats on the newest baby Colt

I just want to take this opportunity to congratulate my brother Demond on the birth of his daughter today. I just bought my 4-year old her first pink Manning Jersey (she outgrew her blue one). I've always been against such things, but when your baby girl asks for a pink "Go Colts" jersey and hat, you are just so happy that she wants one, that you let your life-long opposition to girly versions of sports apparel go. Have fun man, little girls are great!

Congrats Demond. I think I can safely say, that on behalf of all Colts fans, we welcome your daughter into the Colts family.

Congrats, Demond! DZ: I have always been torn on the pink jerseys. Yes, they feminize otherwise manly apparel, but I think chicks look pretty darn hot in them. As long as they aren't dating the quarterback and showing up to the game, I think I'm cool with it. I guess we are lucky that our regular colors aren't girly already like purple (vikes, ravens), or pastel (chargers, titans). Things could be worse.

Congrats to the whole family! I hope everyone is healthy. Is it too forward to suggest "Usain" as a name? (The Olympics theme seems appropriate and "Marvina" just doesn't work for me--although there are both male and female Peytons in my suburban Seattle town, I suspect that name is semi-cliche in Indiana these days.)
Get her a teeny 18-1 onesie. Might as well start the bile early. Maybe she'll spit up on a tiny Pats fan in preschool.

Oh, and the Colts unis are among the purest, simplest, classiest, most starkly beautiful in the NFL. 3rd color? Who needs it! "Update" the logo? Balderdash!

Congrats Demond! And I second DZ's sentiments that girls are great. I have 2 daughters who are slowly brewing into big Colts fans. Fortunately my wife also disdains the Pink Jersey's (she's got a white 21 Sander jersey) but if my girls asked for a pink jersey's I might concede. I'd have to cut a deal with them though "50% less Hanna Montana".

My wife is also violently opposed to pink jerseys, but she agreed that if an almost four year old wants one, and it can turn her into a life long fan, that it only makes sense. The big reason I gave in was that her existing jersey was getting too small, and we needed it for my son, who outgrew his 18 month Manning getup.
