Hey for those who haven't seen it yet, check out our contribution to Mike Tanier's Walkthrough piece. We contribute a recap of the Luke as of the Bears game. For those who want even a more thorough look at other aspects of the dome, check out our buddy Paul's review.
Thanks to Mike Tanier for giving us the chance to contribute.

Sorry about no new posts today. I am leaving for Buenos Aires on Monday, so you won't be hear much from me for a few days. We are working up Eyes in the Backfield, and that should be up late tonight or tomorrow.
Simmons says something nice about Peyton, then picks the Jags.
The AFC South blog has a couple of good piece including an interview with Gary Brackett and a piece on who the Titans are rooting for this weekend.
Jim Caple names IMS the 7th most important sporting venue in the USA. The NCAA headquarters downtown make 26th. Hinkle is 62nd and Conseco is 66th. Armstrong at IU and Assembly Hall come in at 94 and 95. Throw in Notre Dame Stadium at 18th, and you get 7 of the 100 most important sports venues located in Indiana. Sure, it's just one man's opinion, but it's still pretty cool.

You guys rewatched the tape, Is Tanier right about Diem moving to the left tackle spot and Charlie Johnson playing RT>
Not that I noticed. Though granted, I wasn't checking up on Charlie so much toward the end of the end of the game. I had him marked as picking up a late blitzer on a play in the 4th quarter, and I seem to remember that maybe coming from the right side, but I can't be sure. I wanted to go back and check that, but I'm in process of moving back to Argentina and my other computer (with the game footage) has been packed away. I'll let you know next week when I get there.
nevermind I remembered that it was the game of the week on NFL.com. I've already seen Johnson at left tackle twice.
Johnson started at left tackle for sure. I can't say whether or not he finished the game there. I'm going to try and find game footage to confirm.
It's a really inconvinient time to have your whole life packed into plastic tupperware tubs.
confirmed: CJ was playing left tackle the whole game.

here's the longer video I've been watching of it. He definitely played LT.
A Colts fan off another forum I like asked for more specifics about where the $3 lot you mentioned is. Could you give some more info?
South and Delaware
BTW, very nice description of the Luke indeed. (Although, if I'm not there in November for said game, I'll let you know if the car alarms DO go off in this town. ;-))
Sarah in Terre Haute
thanks he's excited
The saving grace of JC and Kurt "Lipstick on my Sock" Schilling is that I'm pretty sure JC is as opposed to the Kurtmeister's politics as I am.
Crap, my last comment is on the wrong thread.
BTW, why did Tanier put Jaddai Master's number as 28? Do I need to get a NEW jersey!?!?
His Hochuli email bit had me roaring. As he usually does. Best math teacher ever.
How uninspiring was Pete Metzelaar's sideline peptalk? Maybe that's the problem... lol.
I'm getting more conservative as the days tick big guy.
But still way left of Schill.
I mean....my home state polls the prez at like 18%.
That link to fox sports....I think it's whitlock....was dead on about the whiney lil females that the Chargers are. They're such broads.
Let's not forget about the Jags this week. One of the best parts about this week is the lack of smack talk from the 0-2 Kitties.
I guess this season it didn't take them playing the Colts to realize their own inferiority.
Finally something JC and I agree on. The whiny be-auches in SD. I know they took us down in the playoffs but damn are they an unlikable group.
2nd on Zac motion about the Jags too.
Simmons was picking against the spread (which he is pretty bad at if you see where he stands vs the Stampede Blue readers picks).
He took Jags+5.5 over the Colts, not quite the same thing as picking the Jags over the Colts. He's still a Colts hater though.
True.
The stat they use about MJD after the Brackett interview is kind of misleading. 200 All Purpose yards in 3 of 4 games. All Purpose yards include return yardage with is pretty easy to rack up even if the special teams coverage is doing it's job.
His yards from scrimmage (rushing+receiving) in those 4 games?
69, 57, 135, 172.
Really only two good games for him.
Good catch, Shake. I didn't realize his Rtn Yards were so huge in the first two games. And when you return kicks and get even a ho-hum 25 yards per touch, against a team that kicks off a lot like the Colts, that could add 100 yards in the first half alone. And if you return well and throw in a few 50 yarders...
I saw 7/100 and thought to myself: 7% isn't all that impressive. After all, if all states were treated equally, we'd have 20/100.
Somehow, I managed to divide 100 by 50 and end up with 20. Wow, it's been a long week.
Interestingly enough, we're a very average state. We're 1 of 50 states, making us 2% of the states, and we have 6.3 million out of 300 million people, making us roughly 2% of the population as well.
So we have 3.5x more important sporting sites than we deserve.
Indiana has a very impressive sporting tradition. It's the first thing I thought about when reading Vic and his jaguars.com readers bashing Indy for having nothing to do. It's a special town if you are a sports fan.
I was very gratified with this list after SI recently put Daytona on their own top ten venues list. Barf. There is no place like IMS, but it is impossible to understand until you see it in person.
John, In a lot of ways, that all sounds about right. Newer states have less time to build a long tradition, and less populous states have fewer chances (no major teams, fewer big schools) to create a tradition. W/o looking at the list, I assume some place like Alaska has one major sporting event (Iditarot) and Hawaii... maybe the "course" of the Ironman but it's hard to make a 150 mile wet/dry distance a location/venue. Add in virtual wastelands like Utah and Idaho and Nevada and I'd expect states with longer histories and more people to have "more sites than they deserve."
Then again, I grew up in Jersey and aside from the site of the first college football game or maybe Jimmy Hoffa's unmarked grave (joke), I can't think of any place I'd consider monument-worthy. That's an even older and more densely populated state than Indiana. So in a way, you are stealing from may family!
