I know Peyton is way to classy to ever pull this crap, but let the Favre drama be a lesson to all future HOF quarterbacks.
Like all good Americans, I like and appreciate Brett Favre because there are certain plays only he can make. But the madness needed to stop a long time ago. Don't get me wrong I think the Packers are crazy not to make another run with Favre, but I can't blame them for wanting to tell him to get lost.
Still, if this was Peyton (and again it never would be) your only option is to let him come back as often as you want. If Green Bay fans love Favre as much as I think they do they will be furious with the organization for years to come.

My Packer fan friends are sick of the guy. They are ready to move on. Great career, one of the best ever but it's Aaron Rodgers time.
Honestly I think they should trade Rodgers and make a last run (or two or three) with Favre. They have Brohm to take over when Favre finally gives it up (or more likely can't play at a starters level anymore.)
Favre was 3rd in DYAR last year, he's not hurting them this coming season by coming back. It's their future that's he's ruining.
DZ guess who is leading the Cubs in SLG, he's your favorite.
What proof is there that Aaron Rodgers is their future? Favre is doing nothing but elevating Rodgers' trade value. Football is a win now game...not a win tomorrow. Injuries and short careers make it too hard to 'build for the future. You have to win now. Favre gives the Pack that ability. With Rodgers, they are at best a .500 team. Baseball is not football. You can build in baseball...you have time. Only an idiot football fans worries about tomorrow. The NY Giants proved that if you make the dance, you have a chance to go home with prize. Play for today. Tomorrow will take care of itself.
I said they should go with Favre, but finding out what they have in Rodgers is better for them over the next 3-5 years. You're right that they should win now over re-building. That's how you keep your job in the NFL.
I wasn't arguing with you, just expounding upon what you said. You are totally right. It's better for tomorrow to find out what Rodgers can do, but the NFL is a today league, so again, you are right that Favre should be the QB
This is awesome. Not sure when this training camp preview column first ran, but did you know that Marvin was involved in a "controversial murder" this summer? Me neither. That Dan Pompeii, he sure can fact-check. And on the Pats preview he notes that over the summer Brady impregnated eleven super models, Bea Arthur, and Amelia Erhart. Who knew? okay, I may be lying with that one....

If you've already commented on this, sorry I missed it the first time.
LOL. That crazy Marvin. Will he ever quit murdering people?
It's always the quiet ones.
