We're #1! We're #1!

As was noted a couple of times in the comments and as the Star reported yesterday, Your Indianapolis Colts came in first in ESPN's goofy fan satisfaction survey. So there you have it. All it take to have the best franchise in sports is an exciting team, a classy coach, win a Super Bowl, have a cool owner, and build a new stadium. It's interesting that the Colts' worst category was in stadium satisfaction, because I can only assume that refers to the RCA Dome and not the new facility.

The Reds came in a middling 59th, and the Pacers were 112th out of 122, but that puzzles me. They only rated a 53 in stadium. Conseco is the single best place to watch basketball in the NBA, and one of the 20 best venues in sports. 53 seems ridiculously low.

Interesting article on Polian's criteria for draft picks in today's Star.

I hate f-ing blogger. Just lost a long post!

I know we don't need another WR (I won't retype my jokes about Peyton nagging the Polians because he doesn;t have enough targets), but this guy looks like a keeper: Jordy Nelson. smart, farm boy, married his HS sweetie.

Hey John, how do you embed a URL in your message like that?

Well, I would like to know why one of my favorite Colts blogs Stampede Blue goes down two days before the draft...what's that all about??? Oh, and the Cubs lost today, so I'm bummed. There. Had to get that off my chest.

Hey Bob m:

You just use html coding. Just type the following

a href="http://www.espn.com"

put in whatever website you are wanting to link to, and then put brackets <> around the whole thing. Then after the brackets you type whatever words you want us to see (the blue underlined link). For this example you could use "espn.com" (without the quotes). Then after that, you type the following:

/a

and you put that in brackets also. I can't actually type the real thing, or the coding will think it's real code, not an example. Like this:
espn.com

Re: Stampede Blue and Mocking the Draft down

I know, I had my schedule cleared for the whole draft and 1 1/2 days before it then my favorite site to talk Colts goes down. Boooo. I can't even see the comments on my pick of Matt Forte in the SB Nation mock draft.

"My favorite site to talk Colts"

No offense, I love you guys, but Stampede Blue has more posts and is set up better to talk on.

Cool, I get to learn something new about computers. I think I'll give it a try and see how it works. Thanks picky and john. Go Colts and Cubs!

i don't quite understand the espn rankngs i guess. The Spurs at two and the Packers at 4 both had lower scores than the Colts when you add up all the numbers.

Hmm? No saying Colts aren't good...just saying that if ESPN has some new way to add I can't figure it out.

Espn weighted the categories. They explained the methodology in one of the links branching off from the article. Stadium experience was weighted low because it wasn't as important to fans. That helped the Colts.

makes sense...i guess but it seems that they could have chosen to weight which ever category they wanted to to make it come out in such a way that would sell more magazines. I'm sure if the NO Hornets were first instead of second they would have weighted a different category. Not exactly old hard football facts...but it's fun to look at.

If the Steelers would have been number one...I'd mention it too. But they're not.

I meant Hornets 3rd not second...point made nonetheless
