Our pleasure. It was a lot of fun, and guess what? We get to keep on trucking. We come back next year with a stacked roster and hopefully a healthier team.
Ian's right. You guys are awesome. Even though my husband said I have now surpassed him in the fanatic category for regularly commenting on a fan blog! The links have been great, you're both hilarious and honest, and I've enjoyed being part of it. Thanks.
Hey DZ - despite our bitter sports related differences, especially when it comes to the Colts / Pats, I'm glad I found your blog earlier this year. It's very well put together. And the craziness of the fans on both sides, though frustrating and silly, make it what it is - entertaining.
It sucks, for lack of a better term, the Colts aren't coming to Foxborough but these two teams are pretty well stacked the next couple of years so I'm sure they'll meet again.
Whether #18 and his squad come up lame when it matters, is another story.
Can we all agree on one thing though both Colts and Pats fans - what a freaking DBAG Phillip Rivers is!!?? My Lord what a silly silly being he is.
What is the deal with Rivers? I hadn't heard anything about this side of him until a week or two ago?
I always thought Ben R. was a big immature jerk, but one who knew it and who knew when to calm down and be a grownup (both before and after the motorcycle accident). But Rivers seems to be like that, only with a dark side, a vindictive, petty, meanness.
I'll take an exuberant goof like Matt "We'll take the ball and we're gonna score" Hasselbeck over Phil "Eff you and the horse you rode in on" Rivers any day. As for Ben "Give me my six-pack AND the keys to my bike" Roethlisburger, I'll wait and see.
Great checking in with you guys for the past couple Colts/Bolts games, I probably will not be doing the same with Patriots blogs (since their fans are annoying for the most part).
Here's a follow up on the Sanders/Kaeding penalty: http://sports.aol.com/fanhouse/2008/01/14/nate-kaeding-on-bob-sanders-penalty-we-were-all-smiling-we/
Sorry about Rivers, as well, wearing too many lime green golf shirts after the games will make you crazy. Have a great off-season, Go Bolts!
That was nuts. We immediately knew what the deal was. The officiating was so bad in that game. Like I said, we got calls too, but it was terrible. That call was a joke.
You guys are all correct about Rivers, that dude tranformed from a small, flaccid cock to a giant prick on national TV this past Sunday. Impressive in only noe game to engender so much hate.
Yeah! This is a great blog. It's my favorite "blog that's banned at work." :) Thanks, guys!
And yeah, the Rivers thing with the crowd was weird. I was disappointed no one threw a beer at him--no jury in the state would have convicted them on the "assault" charge and I'd be happy to reimbuse them the $8 or whatever it costs now--but I also love how nice Colts fans are compared to other teams I'll not mention.
While this is predominatly a Colts blog, we remained to committed to all the local sports. We are huge Pacers fans, IU fans, Reds fans, and Indy car fans. We ain't going anywhere. There is a better than average chance of us blogging some more playoff football. We have a big article planned for the Super Bowl as well.
You all ain't getting rid of us that easily. I do expect the frequency of our posting to drop to about 40 a month instead of 70-80 though. I won't promise a post every single day, but it'll probably wind up close to that on average. We are definitely going to do a last podcast as well. I can't promise that it will be back next season. I'll be moving back to Argentina in September, so life will be pretty crazy for awhile. It might just be too much. We do have day jobs, after all.
I don't know that Johnson would be a good fit in Indy. On one hand, he'd be unstoppable. On the other hand, he's got too much mouth. I wouldn't be thrilled, let's put it like that.
To clarify, I'm not one of those fans who can rip a guy and then just love him once he becomes a member of my team. No slam intended, but I would have had a hard time accepting Moss after he just sold out his teammates. 85 is a bit of a different story, because I sort of think he's funny. I do think he's more about himself than the team. In an offense like Indy's where lots of different people need the ball to stay happy and effective, you need WRs who confine their me-first attitude (which all WRs have, don't get me wrong) to the locker room and in private. Sometimes great football moves can really disrupt a team. Johnson is like Moss light. Neither the up nor the downside is nearly as great.

This season was made infinitely more enjoyable by you guys and 18 to 88. Thanks.

He alone, makes it VERY hard to root for the Chargers. What a freak. You're right. We can agree on that for sure.

Again, thanks for this blog. It's been one of the highlights of the football season.
I agree on this point, for certain: Manning is a classy guy, while Rivers is an arrogant, obnoxious punk.
So what's up with the off-season? You guys still gonna be blogging?

Hey, you guys can still root for Eli and the Giants or Favre and the Packers!
And a question to Colts fans ONLY... how would you like to see Ocho Cinco in a Colt uniform next season?
Just asking. Looking forward to playing you guys again next season in your brand new stadium! Keep the faith, folks!
