Early list of links

We need to save a lot of commentary about the Chargers game for Friday's Eyes in the Backfield, but here's a running list of links to follow today...

Jeff Chadia asks questions about the playoffs.

ESPN gives us a list of big moments in replay. Two of the top five involve the Colts. One was inexplicable, one very painful.

PK admits he doesn't know crap about subjects like Bob Sanders and VY.

CHFF gives the Chargers waaaay too much credit for what happened in 2005. They also over blow what happened in November. But hey, why should they bother with reality when they can just blather.

Here's a freaky piece about why Cam "Jar Jar" Cameron got fired. Yikes. Poor little guy.

Wow. This article about Phil Rivers spends a lot of time on a game he didn't even play in. The 2005 Chargers had a different: QB, coach, O and D coordinators. IT DOESN'T HAVE ANYTHING TO DO WITH THIS SUNDAY'S GAME. Half the Colts team didn't even play in the NFL back then.

Dr Z. weighs in with his thoughts on the weekend to come. He's a thinkin' what I'm a thinkin'.

Bob Sanders has been named the DPoY

And now, a Bob Sanders fact:
Bob Sanders eats an entire forest during the week, just so he can lay the wood on Sunday. During the playoffs, he eats two. Greenpeace considers him the #1 threat to the Amazon.

That's a riot. If he was an Oregon State alum it would be even better. Where on earth does "lay the wood" come from? Best I can figure, hitting someone with a baseball bat...?
I find myself looking fwd to this game with an obscene amount of anticipation. I really think this might end up like the Denver playoffs of old. Dr. Z's prediction looks about right. I think a lot depends on execution (duh) on both sides, but another variable is Sunday's home team basically crapped its pants in Week 10--SD didn't win it so much as the Colts lost it and they KNOW that. I don't think SD can possibly be as motivated. Sort of that inner, Rodney-HGHarrison "we have to right some (perceived) wrongs" fire. Plus the last game in the Dome should have the noise level going to 11 when Phil Rivers steps up to the line.

Anybody catch the Hawks/Skins crowd noise moment in Seattle last weekend? Late in the game, crowd going nuts, Collins signalled for the shotgun snap 3 times, then the play clock ran down and he walked away. Then his center snapped the ball into his ribs. Funniest damn thing. I'm looking for a repeat.
