K2 in minor incident

I normally wouldn't give any room to this kind of a story because there is really nothing to it, but with the draft coming up it might have an impact.

Kenton "hands of stone" Keith was picked up outside a nightclub last night apparently for 'general assery'. Given the fact that the report seems pretty minor and the whole issue of police/black man interaction isn't exactly rosy, I think it's hard to really kill the guy for this.

That being said, the Colts hate this kind of press, and there was already a lot of speculation about the Colts possibly taking a backup RB early. Let's just say that Kenton didn't do himself any favors in the job security department with this stunt.

By the way, if you want to read some good thoughts on the Colts draft possibilities, check out Shakenbake's blog... We just don't hit the draft hard because I'm not into it.

I think we should take a fourth or fifth round flier on Mike Hart. The dude was made to play in Indy.

Hopefully that solidifies KK's demise from our squad.

If we drop our second rounder on a back from this massively deep class, you can see the boot form and kick him out the door.

And I'll be a happy camper, even when I'm not camping. ;3

Yeah, let me emphasize again, that any hard feelings I have toward Ksquared are because of the SD game NOT because of this incident. It sounds like the only thing he's really guilty of is being black. I feel bad for him because of this. It's his hands that should get him cut, not this.

1st, thanks for the link, I love the draft for reasons I can't really explain.

On to Keith: I really think it had more to do with him being a drunk idiot than being black. At worst it was racism that brought the cops over to break up the parking lot gathering and Keith's drunken assery (awesome word) that got him arrested.

Guilty of being black.

Sounds like a pretty serious crime to me.

I would have arrested him too.

I'm not sure why you would feel bad for him about this incident. The guy was drunk in public and refused to go home. People get arrested for similar situations every weekend in Broad Ripple and elsewhere. It's not a big deal, but I'm not sure what your basis is for saying this was racially motivated.

I feel bad for two reasons:
1. this happens to people all the time, but they don't make the front page of the paper and have their job put in jeapordy for it.
2. the article says that everyone else was released.
3. I read some of the comments on the Star board and people were savaging this kid for something that most of them do all the time.

three reasons. Whatever.
